A holistic redesign initiative to elevate a core product's visual identity for the next decade, seamlessly integrating rigorous accessibility standards without compromising the effortless usability that defined its long-standing reputation

User ResearchUser Experience

TL;DR: — Took over and led the implementation of a decade-overdue redesign for the Group Engagement Application, Within3's whitelabeled virtual advisory board platform, working closely with developers to bring it to life. Completed throughout 2022.

02. Acquirement

full disclosure

Originally, the base of the product was designed by a third-party agency. When I joined the project in 2022, there were several elements of the original design that didn't work and needed to be changed. There were specific focus areas I wanted to highlight and make sure were included in this revamp outside of stakeholder asks.

03. Additions & Expansions

there were a lot more than this but these were the big ones

Accessibility

Accessibility throughout the site and making sure all elements are accessible through screenreaders

Responsive Design

04. Reflection

So much potential

There were many potential updates that I would have loved to make to this product including
  • Expanding the questions/tasks types
  • An optional congratulations/success "you finishd all tasks" page
  • Building out a true tablet experience
  • Additional navigation between tasks
  • Better organization of resources
