About Rachel

Hi I'm Rachel.
I'm a little bit creative, a little bit technical
I come from a long personal history of web design and development, starting when I was just 10 years old. I've seen the web morph and evolve into what it is today and been on the front lines the entire way. And I can't wait to see what the future has in store.
Growing up in Cleveland suburbia of Lakewood, Ohio, I've learned to appreciate the balance of bordering the "big" city life and having that small community culture. After high school, I took my talents to Bowling Green, Ohio, where I studied Visual Communication Technology at Bowling Green State University. The program was an amazing introduction and guidance to help me get where I am today. I enjoyed what I did so much, I went back to school for my Masters of Science in User Experience Design at Kent State University.
For this next period of my life, I'm looking to focus more on the details visuals of the design and why they work or are successful. Focusing on data driven design is a key element to overlooking any personal or potential biases that each person might have, designer or not. And though psychology, empathy or just testing scenarios, I'm hoping to create something that's usable and pleasing to everyone.
